Protify Recipes ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting any personal data you may provide. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Protify Recipes (the "App"), available on Google Play.

User-Provided Data

User Name: Optional name entered and stored locally on your device via Jetpack DataStore. We do not transmit or store this data in the cloud and have no access to it.

Automatically Collected Data

Usage Data (via Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics):

Device identifiers (e.g., instance ID)
Mobile operating system version
App session duration and screen views
Crash reports and performance metrics

Advertising Identifiers (via Google AdMob):

Advertising ID to deliver and measure personalized ads

3. How Data Is Collected

Jetpack DataStore for local, on-device storage of optional user-entered names.
Firebase Analytics SDK integrated in the App to capture anonymous usage metrics.
Google Analytics for Firebase to understand user behavior and improve features.
Google AdMob SDK for serving and measuring ads.

4. Use of Data

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Local Data: Any name you enter is stored locally. Deleting the App erases all local data.
Analytics Data: Usage and crash data are retained by Google for the period specified in their policies.

If you wish to have your local data removed prior to uninstalling the App, simply delete it from within your device's App Settings or uninstall the App.

7. Security Measures

All communication with Firebase and AdMob servers occurs over encrypted HTTPS/TLS channels.
Local data stored via Jetpack DataStore benefits from the device's standard encryption and sandboxing.
API keys and SDK configurations are obfuscated within the App package.

While we strive to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable.

8. Your Rights & Controls

Even though we do not collect personal data centrally, you have the following rights under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws:

Access & Portability: Not applicable, as no personal data is stored by us.
Rectification & Erasure: Delete the App to erase any local data (including your entered name).
Opt-Out of Analytics: You may disable analytics and personalized ads by uninstalling the App or using your device's privacy settings to limit ad tracking.

9. Children's Privacy

Protify Recipes is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us to have it removed.

10. International Compliance

PIPEDA (Canada): We do not collect or store personal data centrally; local storage only.
GDPR (EU) & CCPA (California): We have adopted privacy-by-design principles and provide the rights and controls described above for worldwide users.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the revised date at the top of this page and, if appropriate, via in-App notification. Please review this policy regularly.
